With the Support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian Wine Presented in Helsinki

With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, and with the involvement of the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Finland, five Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the international wine and food exhibition VIINI & RUOKA in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.

To promote Georgian wine and diversify export markets, the National Wine Agency has implemented a number of major marketing activities in recent years in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Large-scale events have been held in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland, resulting in growing interest in Georgian wine across the region.

The VIINI & RUOKA exhibition is considered one of Finland’s leading wine industry events and provides an important opportunity for Georgian producers to introduce their wines to potential importers and establish new trade partnerships. Around 100 wine producers from leading wine countries participated in the exhibition, which traditionally attracts about 10,000 visitors.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Finland, Irakli Khutsurauli, and the Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires, Levan Machavariani.

Earlier this year, Georgian wine was also presented in Finland at the historic Finnish House of Nobility in Helsinki, as part of the celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day.

During the first nine months of 2025, with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was showcased at 21 exhibitions and festivals, and at 220 tasting seminars in 20 countries worldwide. In addition, 13 wine tours were held in Georgia for foreign wine professionals.
