International Wine Tours Held in Georgia as Part of National Wine Day Celebrations

As part of Georgia’s National Wine Day celebrations, the National Wine Agency organized wine tours for wine experts and media representatives from the United States, Germany, and several Asian markets, including China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Participants included renowned Masters of Wine Debra Meiburg, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, and Konstantin Baum.

The tour program featured visits to Georgia’s key winemaking regions. Guests traveled to wineries and wine companies in Imereti and Kakheti, where they explored traditional Georgian winemaking methods and tasted a wide range of wines.

During their visit, wine professionals and media representatives also participated in the National Wine Day conference, attended the Georgian wine tasting event held at Gudiashvili Square, and joined the official gala concert dedicated to the occasion.

National Wine Day, celebrated annually on May 8, was established by the Government of Georgia upon the initiative of the National Wine Agency. Its purpose is to promote Georgian wine internationally and showcase the country’s centuries-old winemaking traditions, highlighting wine as one of the most important elements of Georgia’s identity and cultural heritage.

The international wine tours provided participants with firsthand experience of Georgia’s unique wine culture, strengthening awareness of Georgian wine among influential industry professionals and media representatives from key export markets.
