German Wine Professionals Visit Georgia with the Support of the National Wine Agency

With financial support from the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by its German marketing partner, ff.k Public Relations, a group of German wine professionals visited Georgia to explore the country's winemaking heritage and contemporary wine industry.

The nine-member delegation, consisting of wine professionals, journalists, bloggers, and influencers, toured wineries and wine cellars in the Kartli and Kakheti wine regions. During the visit, participants tasted a wide range of Georgian wines, discovered different winemaking styles, and learned about the traditional production process and craftsmanship behind Georgia's iconic qvevri clay vessels.

The National Wine Agency has been working with ff.k Public Relations since 2021 to promote Georgian wine and strengthen its export potential in the German market. The promotional campaign continues in 2026 and includes wine tastings and educational seminars in cities across Germany for wine professionals, members of the wine trade, and consumers. Georgian wines are also featured at major international exhibitions, supported by targeted advertising and media campaigns, while study tours to Georgia are organized for journalists, sommeliers, and wine trade representatives.

Germany remains one of the top five export markets for Georgian wine and continues to demonstrate strong growth. During the period January–May 2026, Georgia exported nearly 670,000 litres of wine to Germany, representing a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.
