Georgian Wine Tasting Held in Cologne with the Support of the National Wine Agency
A Georgian wine tasting was held in Cologne, Germany, with financial support from the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by the Agency's marketing partner, ff.k Public Relations.
The event centered on pairing Georgian wines with local German cuisine, demonstrating the versatility of Georgian wine in contemporary food and wine culture. Around 20 influencers, content creators, and media representatives attended the tasting, where they sampled seven Georgian wines representing several of the country's wine-producing regions.
The event was hosted by renowned culinary blogger and content creator Jelena Lozo, whose audience is passionate about fine food and wine. Her participation is expected to further increase the visibility and recognition of Georgian wine in Germany, one of its key strategic export markets.
The National Wine Agency has been working with ff.k Public Relations since 2021 to strengthen the export potential of Georgian wine in Germany. The ongoing campaign includes professional tastings and educational seminars in cities across the country for wine professionals, members of the wine trade, and consumers. Georgian wines are also featured at major international exhibitions, supported by targeted advertising and media campaigns, while wine study tours to Georgia are organized for journalists, wine professionals, and sales representatives.
Germany remains one of the top five export destinations for Georgian wine and continues to demonstrate strong growth. During the period January–May 2026, Georgia exported nearly 670,000 litres of wine to Germany, representing a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.
