Georgian Wine Tasting Held in Berlin with the Support of the National Wine Agency
A Georgian wine tasting was held in Berlin, Germany, with financial support from the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by the Agency's marketing partner, ff.k Public Relations.
The event focused on pairing Georgian wines with local German cuisine, highlighting the versatility of Georgian wine in a gastronomic setting. Around 20 influencers, content creators, and media representatives attended the tasting, where they sampled seven Georgian wines from several of Georgia's leading wine-producing regions. Similar events have also been held in the German cities of Düsseldorf and Cologne.
The tasting was hosted by renowned German chef and restaurateur Christoph Friedrich, who guided guests through the food and wine pairing experience.
To strengthen the export potential of Georgian wine in Germany, the National Wine Agency has partnered with ff.k Public Relations since 2021. As part of the ongoing promotional campaign, professional tastings and educational seminars are organized in cities across Germany for wine professionals, members of the wine trade, and consumers. Georgian wines are also showcased at major international exhibitions, supported by targeted advertising and media campaigns, while wine study tours to Georgia are organized for journalists, wine professionals, and sales representatives.
Germany remains one of the top five export markets for Georgian wine and continues to demonstrate strong growth. During the period January–May 2026, Georgia exported nearly 670,000 litres of wine to Germany, representing a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.
