Georgian Wine Showcased at The Ultimate CEE Wine Fair in London
As part of ongoing efforts to increase the visibility of Georgian wine and boost exports to the United Kingdom, the National Wine Agency of Georgia, together with its UK marketing partner Swirl Wine Group, presented Georgian wine at The Ultimate CEE Wine Fair in London.
The festival brings together winemakers from Central and Eastern Europe, providing a platform to showcase the region's diverse wine heritage. Visitors had the opportunity to taste a broad selection of wines from around 20 Georgian wineries, representing a wide range of styles and appellations.
The programme also featured a masterclass on Georgian wine, highlighting award-winning wines that have received international recognition at prestigious wine competitions. The masterclass attracted approximately 40 participants, including representatives of the media, the wine trade, and the HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, and café) sector.
In 2026, the National Wine Agency continues to support the promotion of Georgian wine in the UK through its partnership with Swirl Wine Group. The campaign includes professional tastings and educational seminars in cities across the United Kingdom, participation in major international wine exhibitions, and targeted advertising, public relations, and media campaigns.
The United Kingdom continues to be an important export market for Georgian wine. During the period January–May 2026, Georgia exported nearly 125,000 litres of wine to the UK, representing an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.
Promoting Georgian wine and increasing its international recognition remain among the National Wine Agency's core priorities. Since 2013, the Agency has implemented targeted marketing and promotional campaigns across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia as part of its long-term strategy to diversify export markets and strengthen the global presence of Georgian wine.
