Georgian Wine Showcased at 150 Events Across 13 Countries in First Half of 2025

In the first six months of 2025, Georgian wine was presented at 18 international exhibitions and festivals, as well as 137 tasting seminars held in 13 countries, with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency. These countries include Japan, the USA, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, the UK, China, Finland, Armenia, Poland, and Belgium.

To strengthen global engagement, eight wine tours were organized in Georgia for foreign wine professionals. During these visits, wine masters, sommeliers, importers, and commercial sector representatives from Germany, Japan, China, the UK, and the US, among others, explored Georgian wine production on site.

Domestically, 15 exhibitions and festivals, along with four tasting competitions, were held throughout Georgia as part of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine Production in the Local Market. These events aim to raise awareness, support wine tourism, and cultivate wine appreciation among local consumers.

The National Wine Agency also continues to implement its state co-financing program for export marketing expenses. In 2025, nine Georgian wine companies received a total of 692,969 GEL in co-financing to support marketing activities in global markets (excluding CIS and GUAM countries).

All of these efforts fall under the “State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine”, which has a 2025 budget of 17.4 million GEL, exceeding last year’s allocation by 1.4 million GEL.
