Georgian Wine Presented at the International Wine Festival in New York
To support the growth of Georgian wine exports to the U.S. market, eight Georgian wineries were featured at the Karakterre International Wine Festival in New York City, organized by the National Wine Agency in cooperation with the American marketing company Colangelo & Partners.
This year, the National Wine Agency was one of the festival’s sponsors.
The Karakterre Festival is one of the world’s leading wine events, bringing together organic, biodynamic, and natural wine producers from around the globe. It is held annually in historic venues in Austria and New York. This year, around 200 wine producers from 30 countries took part in the festival.
Thousands of visitors had the opportunity to taste up to 15 Georgian wines of different styles, contributing significantly to the awareness and promotion of Georgian wine.
A Saperavi masterclass was also held as part of the festival. The United States is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine, and the National Wine Agency is actively carrying out a targeted marketing campaign there in partnership with Colangelo & Partners.
As part of the campaign, tasting seminars are held in various U.S. cities for wine professionals and trade representatives. Georgian wine is also showcased at international exhibitions, and wine tours are organized in Georgia for media, sommeliers, and importers, helping deepen knowledge and strengthen the positioning of Georgian wine in the American market.
