Georgian Wine Presented at the French Gastronomy Festival

To diversify export markets and increase the international presence of Georgian wine, Georgian producers took part in the prestigious French wine and gastronomy festival Arts & Vin, with the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of its contractor, Le Pont Caucasien.

The festival, held in the city of Théoule-sur-Mer, attracts thousands of visitors each year, including wine professionals and representatives of the HoReCa sector.

Georgian wine at the event was presented by Ilia Kakhoidze, a France-based oenologist and head of Le Pont Caucasien.

One of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency is the promotion and increased visibility of Georgian wine in international markets. Since 2013, the Agency has been implementing targeted advertising and marketing campaigns to diversify export markets—including in France, a globally renowned winemaking country where interest in Georgian wine, especially qvevri wine, continues to grow. According to data from the first nine months of 2025, 111,000 bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to France, an increase of 71% compared to the same period last year.

To expand export opportunities and diversify global markets, Georgian wine has been showcased at 21 exhibitions and festivals, and at around 220 tasting seminars in the United States, as well as in about 20 European and Asian countries, during the first nine months of 2025 with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency.
