Georgian Wine Presented at the China Food and Drinks Fair
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of its contractor, Bogvi International Trading Company Ltd, around 25 different wine styles from eight Georgian wine-producing companies were showcased at the China Food and Drinks Fair. This year, the exhibition took place in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
The China Food & Drinks Fair, held for the 113th time, is considered one of the most professional and influential trade exhibitions in Asia. The event traditionally hosts up to 300,000 visitors, including wine importers, distributors, bloggers, media representatives, HoReCa sector professionals, and wine industry specialists from around the world. The participation of Georgian wine at the fair contributes to establishing new trade partnerships and increasing exports to the People’s Republic of China.
China is one of the most important strategic markets for Georgian wine. Since 2013, a large-scale marketing campaign has been actively implemented to increase the visibility and export volume of Georgian wine in the country. China consistently ranks among the top five export markets for Georgian wine. From January to September 2025, 2.2 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to China, a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine has been presented in China this year at the following exhibitions: Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition, China Food & Drinks Fair, RAW Wine Shanghai, Shanghai International Wine Challenge (SIWC), and Interwine China 2025.
