Georgian Wine Presentation and Tasting Held in Paris

A presentation and tasting of Georgian wines was held in Paris, organized by Georgia’s National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia to the French Republic. The event was attended by representatives of the HoReCa sector and the media.

The tasting was led by Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the National Wine Agency’s Tasting Commission. Guests had the opportunity to discover the diversity of Georgian wines, learn about traditional winemaking methods, and gain deeper insight into Georgia’s rich wine culture.

The event was attended by Tamta Kvelaidze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency. According to her, events of this format play an important role in promoting Georgian wine, diversifying export markets, and strengthening the positioning of Georgian wine as a unique niche product in international markets.

The presentation was also attended by Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, Irakli Kurashvili.

Increasing awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it in international markets remains one of the National Wine Agency’s key priorities. Since 2013, the Agency has actively implemented marketing and promotional campaigns in a number of countries, including France—a country renowned for its winemaking tradition—where demand for Georgian wine, particularly qvevri wine, has been steadily growing.
