“Activities to Promote Georgian Wine in International Markets Continue Actively” – National Wine Agency
To increase the export potential of Georgian wine and diversify markets, with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was presented at 29 exhibitions and festivals and at around 250 tastings and seminars across the United States, Europe, and Asia — in a total of about 20 countries — during the first 10 months of 2025.
According to the Agency, during the same period, 17 wine tours were held in Georgia with the participation of foreign wine professionals. Within these tours, Georgian wines were tasted on-site by wine masters, experts, sommeliers, and representatives of the commercial sector from Germany, Japan, China, Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, and the United States.
Also noteworthy are the wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals held across Georgia within the state program for promoting Georgian wine products in the local market. These events aim to support the promotion of Georgian wine, strengthen wine tourism potential, and enhance wine consumer culture. During the reporting period, 23 exhibitions and festivals and 6 tasting competitions were held across the country.
These activities are carried out within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine, which this year was allocated 17.4 million GEL, exceeding last year’s budget by 1.4 million GEL.
