Startup Droper Enters Georgian Market with Smart Travel Accessories
“We only entered the market a few days ago, but we already have customers and have started accepting orders,” says Gigi Katamadze, founder of Droper.ge, a new Georgian travel-focused e-commerce platform. Katamadze shared details of the company’s early traction and future plans in an interview with Business Partner.
Droper.ge aims to provide smart, practical travel accessories designed to enhance convenience and simplify the travel experience.
“When you start traveling, you realize you need all sorts of things you hadn’t thought about before,” says Katamadze. “While many travel products are available on the market, our offerings are specifically tailored to address real challenges encountered during travel.”
Currently operating in beta, the website features 13 products, including travel bags, organizers, gadgets, and accessories designed to improve packing efficiency and comfort. According to Katamadze, their vacuum travel bags are already generating strong demand due to their space-saving functionality, especially for air travelers.
“There is competition in the travel inventory space, but our products stand out. We offer smarter, simpler, and more unique solutions,” he adds.
Katamadze notes that although a physical store is not in the plans, the product assortment will grow significantly in the near future.“We deliver across Georgia and offer express delivery in Tbilisi. While our focus is currently domestic, international orders can also be placed via the platform,” he said.
As Droper.ge expands its catalog, the startup is positioning itself as a go-to platform for innovative travel solutions, catering to both frequent flyers and casual vacationers.
