New Financing Model to Streamline Agricultural Support Programs

“Previously, the programs of the Rural Development Agency of Georgia financed individual направления through different financial instruments. Our goal was to unify these instruments under a single framework,” said Lasha Dolidze.

The Deputy Minister spoke about the priority areas and new financing mechanisms of the State Agro Co-Financing Program. “Previously, different financial tools were used to support separate მიმართულებები. Our objective was to bring these instruments together under one unified framework. We identified specific funding units—such as a single farm, land plot, or project—and defined the costs and minimum criteria required to meet modern standards. Based on this, we developed standard budgets, which will be periodically updated in consultation with businesses, in line with market price changes. As a result, a unified financing system will be established,” Lasha Dolidze stated.

It is worth noting that the State Agro Co-Financing Program aims to create a unified, integrated, transparent, and results-oriented system. Beneficiaries will be selected based on predefined and transparent criteria, ensuring fairness and efficiency in the process.
