Irrigation to Improve Across Nearly 200 Hectares of Farmland in Marneuli Municipality

Georgian Amelioration Ltd. continues to actively implement irrigation infrastructure improvement projects as part of its efforts to support the development of Georgia's agricultural sector.

Planned maintenance works are currently underway in the Kvemo Kartli region. In Marneuli Municipality, a 3.5-kilometre section of the Iberia Main Canal is being cleaned. The works involve removing accumulated sediment, overgrown vegetation, and various types of debris that have been obstructing the free flow of water.

Upon completion of the rehabilitation works on the Iberia Main Canal, irrigation conditions will be significantly improved for nearly 200 hectares of agricultural land in Marneuli Municipality. The upgraded infrastructure will enable local farmers to irrigate their crops in a timely manner and with sufficient water supply, contributing to higher agricultural productivity and improved crop quality.
