David Songulashvili Visits State-Supported Animal Feed Manufacturing Plant Nutrimax

Georgia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, visited the high-tech production facility of Nutrimaxi LLC in Ponichala, where he was introduced to the company's combined animal feed manufacturing operations. The Minister was accompanied by the State Representative in the Kvemo Kartli region, Ilia Jalaghania.

Nutrimaxi LLC produces a wide range of compound feed for livestock and poultry, including feed for cattle, sheep, and poultry. The facility has an annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes, with its products supplied to the domestic market as well as exported to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.

The company is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency and has received support through the government's Preferential Agrocredit Programme on several occasions. The establishment of the production facility and the acquisition of modern technological equipment were also supported through state programmes, including Produce in Georgia. The company currently employs 200 people.

Since the launch of the Preferential Agrocredit Programme, a total of 115 agricultural loans worth more than GEL 46 million have been issued across Georgia to support the establishment and development of compound feed production facilities. The Rural Development Agency has contributed more than GEL 10 million in co-financing under the programme.

Joining Minister Songulashvili during the visit were Lasha Avaliani, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture; Giorgi Iakobashvili, Head of the National Food Agency; Zaur Dargalli, Member of Parliament representing Marneuli; and representatives of the local self-government.
