New Craft Brewery and Beer Garden “Ishvi” Opens in Tbilisi

On 9 October, craft brewery and beer garden Ishvi will open near Mushtaidi Garden on the Nikoloz Baratashvili Left Bank. The venue brings together a brewery, beer garden and kitchen in one space.

Ishvi was founded by a team of beer enthusiasts with a shared goal: to produce consistently high-quality craft beer. Before building the brewery, they spent three years studying brewing practices from different countries and refining their recipes through more than 200 test brews.

Production takes place using modern, high-tech equipment, with an annual brewing capacity of up to 365,000 litres.

Only premium German malt and American hops are used, with no artificial additives. The beer is brewed in small batches, allowing complete control over quality. The brewery also has its own laboratory, where both raw ingredients and finished products are regularly tested. From brewery to bar, the beer travels through an uninterrupted cold chain at temperatures between +2°C and +4°C, preserving the characteristics developed during brewing.

Ishvi’s beer garden combines industrial aesthetics with nature. Ivy-covered glass halls, vintage armchairs, a fireplace, large wooden tables and an open courtyard create a space where the noise of the city feels far away. Live music adds to the atmosphere, while guests can unwind with friends and enjoy beer in the very place where it is brewed.

The garden also has its own kitchen, with a menu designed around beer pairings. Classic dishes associated with European beer culture blend with Georgian flavours and local ingredients, from snacks to main courses and house-made sauces.

Initially, Ishvi will offer five beer styles:

NEIPA — Intense tropical fruit aromas, bright citrus notes and a velvety texture.

WIT — A Belgian-style wheat beer with citrus and spice aromas.

Stout — A velvety beer with deep notes of coffee and cocoa.

Lager I — A light, clean and harmonious lager combining classic crispness with contemporary craft balance.

Lager II — An elegant, aromatic lager where classic German precision meets a modern craft brewing philosophy.

Alongside the beer garden, Ishvi’s beers are available at selected bars and restaurants. The company offers partner venues complimentary tastings, marketing support and tailored branding.
