Founder of Adjaragroup Temur Ugulava Passes Away at 56

Georgian entrepreneur and business leader Temur Ugulava, the founder of Adjara Group, has passed away at the age of 56.

He was widely recognized as one of the visionaries behind Georgia’s modern hospitality industry and urban transformation. In 2010, he founded Adjara Group together with a team of dedicated professionals, laying the foundation for what would become one of the country’s most influential hospitality and lifestyle companies.

Under his leadership, Adjara Group developed a distinctive identity that extended far beyond traditional hospitality. The company became known for its innovative approach to adaptive reuse, transforming historic buildings while preserving their cultural significance and giving them a contemporary purpose. Through its projects, Adjara Group helped create vibrant communities around design, architecture, food and beverage, agriculture, arts, technology, wellness, sports, entertainment, and education.
