Mary Kokaia Appointed TBC’s New Marketing Director

TBC has appointed Mary Kokaia as its new Marketing Director, bringing an internationally experienced professional to its team.

Kokaia has worked across brand strategy, marketing communications, international partnerships and sponsorships. Her career began in Georgia and has since spanned three continents and five countries. She has worked at the global consultancy Elevate and at du, a leading telecommunications company in the United Arab Emirates. She also led sponsorships for Expo 2020 Dubai, where she received a gold medal in recognition of her contribution to the country.

Her work has received international recognition, including a Marketing Innovation Leader of the Year award. In recent years, she has worked with brands including PepsiCo, Mastercard, Samsung and BMW.

According to TBC, Kokaia’s appointment reflects its strategy of bringing internationally experienced Georgian professionals back to the country and applying their expertise to the company’s development.

“I am delighted that Mary has returned to Georgia after many years of international experience and joined us,” said Giorgi Tkhelidze, CEO of TBC. “Today, TBC has one of the strongest and most distinctive brands in Georgia, built through the work of our team over many years. Our goal is to strengthen it further and connect it more closely with our business, products and customers’ everyday experiences.”

“For me, returning to Georgia means more than starting a new chapter in my career,” said Mary Kokaia. “After 14 years of international experience, I am pleased to join TBC, a company that has been an important contributor to Georgia’s economy for 33 years. It is both a great responsibility and an opportunity to build on the brand the TBC team has created and contribute to the country’s development.”

Kokaia added that she has been a TBC customer for 18 years. “Throughout that time, I have personally experienced the care and attention that are central to how TBC works with people. Now, as a member of the team, I see its mission even more clearly: to make everyday life easier for our customers at every stage of life."
