Bank of Georgia Appoints Mel Carvill as New Chairman

Bank of Georgia Group PLC said Thursday that it has appointed Mel Carvill as chairman to replace Neil Janin with immediate effect.

The Georgia-based, U.K.-listed lender said Mr. Carvill is a qualified chartered accountant, with experience across the financial sector. Mr. Carvill served on several positions at Generali Group from 1985 until 2009.
