“Wines of Georgia: Ancient Roots, Modern Aromas” — Georgian Wine Tasting Held in the United States

With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the Agency’s contracted American marketing firm Colangelo & Partners, Georgian wine was presented at the San Diego Food + Wine Festival in San Diego, USA.

The event included professional tastings of Georgian wine and a masterclass titled:
“Wines of Georgia: Ancient Roots, Modern Aromas.”
In total, around 30 wine labels from various Georgian producers were showcased at the festival.

The San Diego Food + Wine Festival is one of the most renowned events in the wine and culinary world. In 2023 and 2024, it was named the Best Festival by readers of USA Today. The festival brings together hundreds of wine producers, along with well-known chefs, sommeliers, wine experts, industry professionals, and consumers.

Consumer-oriented events of this scale are critically important for increasing the visibility of Georgian wine and boosting future demand in the strategic U.S. market.

The National Wine Agency carries out its U.S. marketing campaign in partnership with major American marketing firm Colangelo & Partners. As part of the campaign, tastings and seminars are held for wine professionals and trade representatives in different U.S. cities; Georgian wine is presented at international exhibitions; and media representatives, sommeliers, and sales professionals are invited to wine tours in Georgia, supporting deeper knowledge and stronger promotion of Georgian wine in the American market.

With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine has been presented this autumn in the United States at the following events:
• Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting (Los Angeles)
• Karakterre International Wine Festival (New York)
• Orange Glou Fair (New York)
• Amber Georgia — the first Georgian amber wine festival (New York)
• RAW Wine NYC — international natural wine exhibition (New York)

This autumn, two wine tours in Georgia were also organized for American wine professionals.
