With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, six Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition held in Chengdu. Participation in the exhibition contributes to increasing the visibility of Georgian wine, identifying new partners, and strengthening export positions.
As part of the exhibition, a Georgian wine tasting seminar was also held, led by renowned Master of Wine Fongyee Walker. The event was attended by around 100 guests, including wine professionals, importers, and representatives of the HoReCa sector, which is important for increasing awareness and sales of Georgian wine in the Chinese market. Wines from eight Georgian wine-producing companies were presented at the tasting.
During the same week in Chengdu, Georgian wine will also be showcased at the large-scale China Food & Drinks Fair, as well as at a Georgian wine seminar – Fine WineCR.
One of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency of Georgia is the diversification of Georgian wine export markets. Notably, China is one of the most prominent strategic markets for Georgian wine, where active marketing campaigns have been underway since 2013. With the agency’s support, Georgian wine companies regularly participate in major exhibitions in China, including Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition, China Food & Drinks Fair, RAW Wine Shanghai, Shanghai International Wine Challenge, Interwine China, and others.
