Export Growth Continues for Georgian Wine and Alcoholic Beverages
An upward trend has been observed in the export of Georgian wine and alcoholic beverages in the first quarter of 2026.
During Q1 2026, a total of 17.3 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to 51 countries, with a total value of USD 53.2 million. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported wine increased by 5%, while its value grew by 7%.
Among Georgia’s strategic markets, notable growth was recorded in Germany, where exports reached 375 thousand liters, representing a 32% increase year-on-year. Exports to the United Kingdom rose by 9%, totaling 86 thousand liters, while a 4% increase was recorded in the People’s Republic of China, with exports reaching approximately 831 thousand liters.
In the same period, exports of spirits were carried out to 38 countries, totaling 7.6 million liters with a value of USD 56.6 million. Revenue from spirits exports increased by 3% compared to the previous year.
