Soaps, Mineral Cafe, 4-Star Hotel - Balneological Resort is Expanding

Tbilisi balneological resort continues to expand. One of the owners of the object is the company "Meidan Group".

Salome Kudashashvili, executive director of the resort with "Business Partner", states that the construction works of the high-class hotel are in an active phase. According to her information, the construction works that will be acceptable for all international brands are currently underway.

Kudashashvili does not specify at this stage which international brand can enter the Tbilisi balneological resort as an operator, however, she states that the work in this regard is in an active phase. 20 million GEL is being invested in the project.

According to Kudashashvili, a mineral cafe has been opened on the territory of the resort for several months, where users have the opportunity to taste various mineral waters available in Georgia.

In addition, the Tbilisi balneological resort has started the production of handmade soaps based on sulfur. At present, the company produces soap, wine, mud and several other types of soap.

"At the same time, we will continue to expand in terms of accommodation facilities as well. A low-class hotel is already operating on the territory of the balneological center, and a 4-star high-class hotel will be added in the near future", explained Salome Kumkhashvili.

According to her, year by year, the demand for balneological procedures in the country is increasing. At this stage, 10-15% of Tbilisi balneological resort users are tourists, and the rest are locals.

Foreign patients mostly come from Russia and Ukraine, however, recently, an increase in flows has been observed from European countries such as Germany and France, as well as increasing statistics from Canada.

To remind you, the state owned 100% of the state Tbilisi balneological resort, in 1998 the building was granted the status of a cultural heritage monument. According to the business register, today 75% of Tbilisi Balneological Kurot is owned by "Meidanze" LLC, and 25% by "Meidani" company.
