Charter Flights to Korea to Resume This Year – Airline Has Already Submitted Application
Air travel between Georgia and the Republic of Korea is set to continue this year. Korean Air has already submitted an application to the Civil Aviation Agency to operate charter flights during the summer navigation season.
The information became known following a meeting between the Georgian delegation and representatives of leading Korean airlines, Korean Air and T’way Air, in Korea.
According to the United Airports of Georgia, representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency and the Airports Union discussed several key issues with the Korean side, including the possibility of launching regular flights, the potential of the local aviation market, and the growth of tourist flows from the Republic of Korea.
The meetings were attended by Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Agency Aleksandre Gachechiladze and Director General of the United Airports of Georgia Levan Moseshvili.
Air connectivity between Georgia and the Republic of Korea has existed for years in the form of charter flights. According to official data, airlines operated a total of 11 charter flights between 2019 and 2025. The application submitted for the summer 2026 season signals the continuation of this cooperation.
