“With State Support, Production Is Growing Steadily — as Reflected in Concrete Numbers” — Davit Songulashvili

Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, visited the municipality of Mtskheta, where he inspected the frozen bakery and pastry production plant Food Alliance LLC in Natakhtari.

He drew attention to the trend of increasing production in the country, noting that state programs have played a decisive role in developing the agricultural sector. As a result, production has increased. Georgian products are establishing their place both in domestic and international markets.

Food Alliance LLC is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency. The company has repeatedly used the “Preferential Agrocredit” program for expanding production and updating its technologies. The plant produces around 80 product varieties and employs 135 people.

Its products are marketed nationally, to the HoReCa sector, and to various retail chains. The facility is equipped with the latest technologies, machinery, and cold storage systems, and it has implemented the international food safety standard FSSC 22000

It is worth noting that from 2013 until June 30, 2025, under the “Preferential Agrocredit” project, only for bakery product production, banks have issued 8 loans totaling 29 million GEL; the Agency’s co-financing exceeded 5.5 million GEL.
