Ukraine and Georgia to Lay a Complain Against Russia in International Maritime Organization

Georgia and Ukraine laid a complaint against Russia in International Maritime Organization. The information is published by Embassy of Ukraine in United Kingdom.

The fact was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Kyiv and Tbilisi charge Moscow with illegal acts in Azov, Black Sea, and Kerch Strait, which hinder search and rescue operations.

As Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia defines, that this is not the first case, when Russia violates international law norms. These matters involve illegal acts in Russian-occupied territory Abkhazia, where Russian civilian and cargo ships transpose illegally. As the Ministry states, International Maritime Organization must proclaim the discontinuation and ensure safe navigation in Black Sea.

This statement is considered as a provocation in Russia.
