The planned international airport is projected to handle up to 19 million passengers yearly and will adhere to the highest contemporary standards. Kvirivishvili anticipates an annual boost of 0.2 percentage points in economic growth, translating to an average addition of 350 million GEL to Georgia's economy each year.

This announcement follows the statement by Georgia's Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, during today's government session, revealing the future establishment of a new, state-of-the-art airport for Tbilisi.
