Over 45,000 Hazelnut Farmers Receive ₾15.8 Million in Support Through State Assistance Program

As part of Georgia’s State Program for Supporting Hazelnut Production, 45,380 hazelnut farmers have already received a total of ₾15.8 million in agro-points this season. The support covers 31,673 hectares of hazelnut orchards and is aimed at enabling pest and disease control measures, according to the Rural Development Agency.

The agency also noted that over ₾6.2 million worth of agro-points have already been redeemed at specialized agro-shops.

The allocation of agro-points under the hazelnut support program is ongoing. Points will continue to be distributed in phases to all eligible participants who meet the program criteria and have registered orchards in the Hazelnut Cadastre.
