New York Post Highlights Georgian Wine in Feature on Emerging Wine Regions
The New York Post has published an article titled "Forget France: The World's Standout Wine Regions Worth Discovering," featuring Georgia as one of the world's most remarkable wine destinations.
The article was prepared with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and its U.S. marketing partner, Colangelo & Partners.
Written by Alexandra Owens, the feature encourages readers to visit Georgia and experience its unique wine culture firsthand. It highlights the country's 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition, the diversity of its indigenous grape varieties, and the traditional qvevri winemaking method, which has been inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
"You might find yourself in a Georgian wine cellar opening a qvevri—an ancient egg-shaped clay vessel used for fermentation," the article notes.
Founded in 1801, the New York Post is one of the United States' most widely read daily newspapers, reaching millions of readers through its print and digital editions.
As part of its long-term strategy to promote Georgian wine, increase international awareness, and support the development of wine tourism, the National Wine Agency of Georgia has collaborated for many years with leading international media outlets, including CNN, CBS, Netflix, The New York Times, Wine Enthusiast, and others.
