National Forestry Agency employees identify 57 violations in October
In October of this year, employees of the National Forestry Agency identified 57 violations.
Of these, 55 cases involved the illegal harvesting and transportation of timber. In total, up to 150 cubic meters of illegally obtained timber of various species was confiscated and stored in the Agency’s processing yards (“Saqmian Ezoebshi”).
Across the country, the distribution of illegal timber harvesting cases is as follows:

During the same period, two cases of unauthorized occupation of state forest land were identified in the Samegrelo–Upper Svaneti and Kvemo Kartli regions.
It is noteworthy that from January to October 2025, National Forestry Agency employees identified 510 cases of illegal timber harvesting and transportation nationwide. The volume of confiscated timber stored in the Agency’s processing yards reached 1,350 cubic meters. During the same period, 56 cases of unauthorized occupation of state forest land were identified across the country.
