Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture Offers Three-Month Paid Internships to Up to 300 Young People
The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, together with its affiliated agencies, will offer three-month paid internships to up to 300 young people as part of an initiative by the Prime Minister of Georgia. The program is aimed at attracting talent to the public sector, particularly in areas where specialist expertise is in short supply.
First Deputy Minister Nino Tandilashvili emphasized the importance of recruiting professionals in key fields such as hydrology, geology, food safety, and veterinary medicine. She noted that these disciplines are vital to the ministry’s work and remain in high demand.
“This initiative of the Prime Minister will provide young people with the opportunity to undergo a paid internship in the public service. The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture constantly needs specialists in shortage areas, which is why it is important that students and graduates have the opportunity to gain practical experience and subsequently be employed in our system,” said Tandilashvili.
In 2024, a similar program saw around 60 young people complete internships with the Ministry. Approximately one-third of them have already transitioned to full-time employment within the ministry’s structure.
Applications for the 2025 internship cycle will be accepted between September 1 and 10 on the official government platform www.hr.gov.ge. Selected candidates will carry out their internships from October 1 to December 31, 2025.
