Mikheil Gogolidze examines the situation on-site regarding the damage caused by hail in Shida Kartli
The Director of LLC “Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia,” Mikheil Gogolidze, inspected the operational landfills in Kaspi, Gori, and Khashuri in the Shida Kartli region.
The company director met with employees working at the landfills and received detailed information about the infrastructure conditions and existing challenges.
According to Mikheil Gogolidze, an action plan will be defined based on detailed information regarding the facilities managed by the company, which involves developing modern infrastructure for waste disposal. The company will gradually replace the existing sites.
All three sites in Shida Kartli are operational landfills.

The Kaspi landfill operates 24 hours a day and serves the municipalities of Kaspi and Mtskheta; its area is 75,312 square meters, and the average monthly waste volume is 2,700 cubic meters.

The Gori landfill also operates 24 hours a day, serves the respective municipality, covers 64,515 square meters, and receives an average of 5,799 cubic meters of waste per month.

The Khashuri landfill serves the Khashuri district, with an area of 116,006 square meters and an average monthly waste volume of 4,998 cubic meters.
