Levan Ujmajuridze Meets with EU Nutrition Advisor Brigitte Fenn to Strengthen National Nutrition Research

As part of the Capacity for Nutrition (C4N) initiative, EU advisor and nutritionist Brigitte Fenn visited Georgia’s Agricultural Research Center to explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of nutrition research and policy development.

The C4N initiative, jointly funded by the European Union and the German Federal Government (BMZ), aims to strengthen institutional capacities in partner countries to support effective nutrition strategies and policies.

During her visit, Brigitte Fenn met with the Director of the Center, Professor Levan Ujmajuridze. The meeting focused on technical support needs in the planning and implementation of nutrition research and evidence-based interventions in Georgia.

Discussions emphasized the critical role of national-level nutrition implementation in supporting food security, food safety, public health, and the sustainable development of agricultural policy. Both parties explored potential directions for future cooperation under the C4N initiative.
