In August–September 2025 the Average Export Price of Hazelnuts Rose by 39%

From 1 August to 28 September 2025, Georgia exported 2.9 thousand tonnes of hazelnuts, with a total value of USD 24.7 million.

According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, compared with the same period last year the value of exports increased by 36 % (i.e., by USD 6.6 million).

During this period the average export price per kilogram of hazelnuts was USD 8.46, which is 39 % higher than in the same period last year. 

The main export markets are the countries of the European Union. The largest volume went to Italy (1.0 thousand tonnes). Other significant EU partners include Germany (302.1 t), Spain (197.0 t) and the Czech Republic (119.4 t). Outside the EU market, Georgian hazelnuts were also shipped to Armenia (119.7 t), Russia (117.5 t) and Turkey (111.2 t).
