Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency Participates in IAEA Meeting on Nuclear Security Culture in Vienna

The Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Georgia is participating in a meeting on “Nuclear Security Culture” organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.

The purpose of the meeting is to share experience and support national efforts aimed at developing and strengthening nuclear security culture.

During the meeting, Nino Utiashvili, Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency, shared Georgia’s policies and experience in promoting and maintaining nuclear security. She spoke about the measures implemented by the Agency to introduce nuclear security culture and about future steps planned to ensure the adoption of international standards in this field.

Within the framework of the meeting, discussions were also held with representatives of relevant organizations from different countries, who shared best practices and initiatives related to the development of nuclear security culture.
