Georgian Delegation Visits the Historic District of Jerusalem During Official Visit to Israel

As part of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia to the State of Israel, members of the Georgian delegation were introduced to the historic district of Jerusalem at the initiative and with the organization of Avi Dichter, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Israel.

The members of the Georgian delegation visited unique historical sites of exceptional value to world culture. They toured the Western Wall and its underground tunnels, where a number of significant archaeological discoveries have been made in recent years and where intensive research activities are currently underway.

David Songulashvili expressed his gratitude to the Israeli side for the warm hospitality and for the opportunity to learn about this unique cultural heritage.

The official visit to the State of Israel aims to deepen the Georgia–Israel partnership in the fields of agriculture and food security, as well as to facilitate the exchange of experience in the relevant sectors.
