Davit Songulashvili Discusses Agricultural Investment Opportunities and International Trade with Italian Agribusiness Company RK Growers

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, met with the President of the Italian agribusiness company RK Growers, Paolo Carissimo, and the company’s representative in Georgia — founder of the Georgian agricultural consulting company “Niadagi,” Nikoloz Didebashvili.

During the meeting, the parties discussed investment opportunities in the agricultural sector and issues related to international trade.

Davit Songulashvili provided a detailed overview of Georgia’s flexible investment environment and informed the company representatives about state support programs for the development of the agricultural sector.

The Minister emphasized the importance of the EU–Georgia Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) agreement, which facilitates expanded access for Georgia to European markets, increases exports, and strengthens economic integration.

The discussion also focused on opportunities to increase exports of Georgian agricultural products, in particular nuts, blueberries, olives, olive oil, juices, and wine.

RK Growers President Paolo Carissimo thanked the Minister for the warm reception and noted that Georgia has significant potential for agricultural development and represents an attractive country for investment.

It is noteworthy that the agribusiness company RKG (RK Growers) has united Italian and international producers for 60 years. The company collaborates with leading global entrepreneurs and develops innovative approaches to fruit production and supply. RKG (RK Growers) is considered one of the key players in the European and global agribusiness sector.
