David Songulashvili Participates in Expanded Meeting with the Delegation of the President of Serbia
Georgia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, participated in an expanded-format meeting with the delegation of the President of the Republic of Serbia, held at the Administration of the Government of Georgia under the leadership of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Commenting on the visit, Minister Songulashvili noted that the Serbian President's visit marks a historic milestone in bilateral relations.
"This is the first official visit by a President of Serbia to Georgia in the history of independent Georgia, clearly demonstrating the growing importance of relations between our two countries. I am confident that this visit will further strengthen our cooperation, including in the area of free trade.
Georgia has concluded free trade agreements with a number of countries, creating significant opportunities for the production and processing of agri-food products. Cooperation with Serbia offers additional potential for expanding the production, processing, and export of Georgian agricultural products.
We also highly value Serbia's experience not only in agriculture but also in water resources management. Strengthening cooperation in these areas will contribute to increasing domestic production, enhancing export potential, and ultimately supporting Georgia's economic development," said David Songulashvili.
