David Songulashvili Meets Turkish Ambassador to Georgia to Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Georgia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Arı.

The meeting focused on further strengthening trade and economic relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, as well as exploring new investment opportunities in Georgia.

Minister Songulashvili also highlighted the importance of his recent official visit to Türkiye and thanked Ambassador Arı for his support in organizing the visit at a high level. He noted that continued dialogue between the two countries' institutions contributes to deepening the existing partnership and creating new opportunities for cooperation.

The Minister also presented Georgia's export-oriented agricultural products, placing particular emphasis on hazelnuts, honey, and wine, which offer strong potential for expanding bilateral trade.

The discussion further covered opportunities to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in agriculture, waste management, forestry, and the mining sector.

Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı reaffirmed that Georgia is an important partner for Türkiye and expressed the country's readiness to implement mutually beneficial projects that further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, was also attended by Lasha Dolidze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, and David Chitaishvili, Head of the Ministry's Department of International Relations and European Integration.
